I would like to get a vote for a new date/time for the monthly meetings.
I know we are excluding some members from being able to participate because of the 3rd Thursday.


I would 1st like to propose a change to every 3rd Sunday for 2005. This would allow us the opportunity due do more than meet for dinner and a occasional short drive. Hopefully we couyld have a Sunday drive on a regular basis or some other activities when the weather is nicer.


So, please respond if yeah/ney for 3rd Sunday of the month with the regular meeting time @ 4:00pm and if we were to have a drive/activity, then we could meet an hour or two earlier.


If a majority are opposed to weekend, then I guess the best think to do is respond with what days of the week are NOT good for you where may already have a regular meeting/work activity.

I would prefer a weekend because of the drive time for me and work schedule since I live in Charleston. Personally a Sat. would work better. Or is this for a specific chapter and I am being an idiot? It's ok you can tell me.... I'm used to it.

Also if the meeting places were switched up a bit they might offer more members the chance to get ot a few.....

I find it hard to drive to Charlotte for a several hour meeting (that doesn't mean I'm not as hard core as Bob is) and have to drive back that night.

Any M2C2 member is welcome at regional meetings... which this discussion is about Raleigh or Triangle chapter as I like to refer to it.

I am trying to find a time where more local Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill residents can participate in regular monthly meetings.

Bob has been coming to our meetings monthly. I guess he has about a 45minute drive. You would have a 5 hour drive to get here. Again, you are more than welcome to join us, but I would imagine you would come when we plan activities more than a dinner and a short drive.

 

That would be my stupidity showing again! But I guess if Bob goes I do owe him a meal for leaving him at that light last weekend

Maybe in a few months when things calm down around here!

I can't let Bob be the only one to roam the US in search of MINI meets.... someone needs to keep him company on the road!

 

I believe I'm starting to get a reputation around here! I do love venturing to different areas and meeting everyone I can in person. It adds a personal touch to the forums knowing the faces behind the screen names. :smile:

As for the Triangle meeting, I think Sunday would be fine. It seems, other than the few full weekend events, most things are organized on Saturdays. I also like the idea of having more time to do different things.
Count me in.

Sundays work for me as I'd like to attend a few events (or more!) as a M2C2 member. Only a couple of hours away...

My parents who live in Durham might come with their convertible too .

Yes, I was planning to start in January on the 16th.

Based on this thread so far it's a concensus to switch. We'll have an offical vote at tonight's meeting and relay the results later.

The Triangle M2C2 Chapter will now start meeting on the 3rd Sunday of the Month.

Next Meeting Jan 16th, 2004
