Motoring through North Carolina
Although I live in South Carolina most of my motoring takes place in North Carolina.
I just love driving up to Ceasars Head via 276 and dropping into North Carolina for a leisurely drive to the
Pisgah Forest and up and over the BRP
then accross towards I-26 and back down to South Carolina.
It really makes for an enjoyable drive and thanks to my GPS I don't even have to pay attention to where
I am because when I'm done sightseeing I just press the GO HOME button and off I go.
So where am I going with this long winded story you ask???
Well on one of my many drives I found a general store one day that I stopped and took some pictures of
and after I got home I realized that I had no idea where this store was or how to get back to it for more pictures.
Well it only took a little over a year to find it again but at least now I know where to go for my little photo op.
I think the drive was well worth it... What do you think?

Its off route 64 half way between Hendersonville and Brevard on the left side of the road if you're coming from Hendersonville.
I'm always up for company..
Are you coming to Five Guys on Wednesday?
Yeah that would be Blimeycabrio I don't have a single flag on my MINI.

Great pics....sort of reminds me of a little place we stumbled on just off Old Hwy. 64 W in Brasstown, North Carolina called "Clays Corner." (you've GOT to check out their website at www.clayscorner.com - "Welcome to Beautiful Downtown Brasstown, North Carolina - "Opossum Capital of the World!"....Population 240....been the same for 100 years or more. Some lady gets pregnant - some guy leaves town. Used to be the "Moonshine Capital of the South", but not anymore....it has gone to pot.")

ISN'T MOTORING FUN!!!!....you can find the coolest places off the beaten path!

We did a breakfast in Columbia, picked up some members from the Greenville SC area and went up to Ceasars Head and had a picnic in the rain, some of us with out GPS came on home back to Charlotte the others with GPS wound up on the Georgia border???? Go figure??
I'll let you know the next time I go up that way...
This weekend a few of us MINI owners are cruising over to the BMW plant to checkout all the BMW Z3's and Z4's that are in town for the Roadster Homecoming.
We are heading over at 1pm on Saturday if you would like to come with us...
Right now they are all over the place around the Woodruff rd area since they are staying at the Ebassy Suites, now I
know how the people of Robbinsville must feel during MOTD.

that was funny.
airport exit not the new one (the exit just before Pelham rd if you're coming from Spartanburg).
I drove through their hotel parking lot (Ebassy Suites) yesterday and I was complimented
by several people on my MINI and one lady even got her
husband mad when she told him "Thats what I want, a MINI Cooper just like that one".

They look like they were having a blast drinking their margaritas and washing their cars.
Sometimes I find myself motoring to some of the strangest places... Like this BMW Roadster Homecoming in Greenville, South Carolina.
But even stranger yet are the people you'll run into.
These guys look familiar but I just can't place the face
does anyone who these guys are?

We enjoyed our day today with a pleasant trip back on the 14....thanks for the tip....it's always fun to try a new way home. Landrum is a charming little town. I want to go back and check out all those little antique shops. As always, company was great...thanks again guys for being patient and waiting for Trudee, Floyd and I to join you.
