UPDATE

First I want to say sorry for long delay.
She had the 2nd surgery and came thru fine. They found that a clamp that they put on a vein had blown off so they fixed it. My dad and I stayed all night on Sunday with her and on Monday her emotional status was not good. She noticed that she still had a thumb but its still black. She will probably lose the tip. She was kinda of drugged up all day yesterday and could talk but was saying silly stuff. If you all would have been there she probably would have told you that she loved you...

Today I go back to find the rest of her fingers are turning a dark gray color. We are afraid that now she may still lose her hand. Whats going on... I don't understand this. The dr's don't know exactly what is going on and they say we just have to wait and see. WAIT for what? Her fingers are turning color!!! I would attach some pictures but I am afraid you all would just grose out!

The above message I wrote last night but forgot to submit... its call tiredness.
Anyway, I talked to mom this morning and the Dr came in and said that her hand is dying. Theres not much they can do. We dont know what to do. This can't be happening. Her hand was ok before the surgery... how can it change so fast. I have never prayed so much in my life but I am begging for a miracle. Maybe we will get it....

 

Hi all
Its now Friday and we are not getting our miracle.

The Dr's have said there is nothing that can be done. We have to wait up to 2 weeks for the surgery to make sure the hand is demarcating, (I don't know if I spelled that right). They have to wait until the hand is done dying before they do the surgery to make sure they get it all but not too much.

They are hoping she can come home during that period and so are we. We really don't understand this but maybe an attorney will help us. So anyone know of a go getter excellent attorney that can help us file a suit?

We dont want to sue but we really don't have a choice at this point due to the medical bills and life long care and adjustment this is going to require.

Its now Sunday.

The doctor came in yesterday and they are amputating her hand. Right now they are thinking about 2 inches under the elbow. We still don't have a surgery date but I guess it will be in the next week.

Bob will be a huge help to her. She is blessed having him in her family. We will try to make it for the meet n eat on Tuesday but it all depends on how mom is doing. I feel guilty going places knowing what she is going thru.
