RMW Dyno Tune in Thomasville, NC
LOL, I DONT THINK SO!!!! I thought mine was loud, right untill I heard Jack drive by with his "insert LOUD object here". I happen to know he was just crusing, and it WAS LOUD! I called him and could barely hear him talking! Apparently the RMW head, cam, header, and exhaust is possiably the loudest car I have heard in a WHILE! and my last ride was a '95, mustang cobra, with 550 wheel. Car before that was 684 wheel hp supercharged 91 mustang convertible. That baby was ear hurting levels.
jacks made me squint and he was on the other side of the highway doing 60.
only had a second to realize what was making my ears bleed. Dyno is going to be FUN! I'm bringing my ear muffs! I am deaf from my stereo already, no need to hurt myself anymore!
SO JACK, CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?!?

$65 installed or $25 just for the belt
hope to be. I'm in Williamsburg on vacation and we need to be out of the condo by 10am or so Fri morning, so, it's right about 4 hours to Thomasville, minus any pit stops and/or further run-ins with the local constabulary.
One worry....gas. Any good spots near the shop to fill up locally with known good gas (or places to avoid)? I usually buy Costco gas as I've never had a bad tank and it's 93 octane and (relatively) cheap. I'll try to see if there's one on my route as a backup.

Dan,
I'm going to do my best to get there by ~noon-12:30 pm latest on Friday (I prolly can be even earlier if I can sneak out a bit earlier from work) for the JCW injectors install also (still haven't gotten em yet - lousy ebay seller, but they should be here any day now). If we can't get them in before 3:00 (my appointed slot) I'll have to swap w/ someone until I can get them installed.
ps - been enjoying the boost gauge!

update; Tüls and I are still trying to pull some strings. It's gonna be a close call but at the very least we're trying to come up for Friday. Our internet is down so I'll try to post as soon as I know something. everyone keep their fingers crossed!
We all hope it works out. Everyone would love to see you both
Guys, if you can spare the time, try and make it for your appointed slot as early as possible. It looks as though a few guys are getting some last minute installs. It may help if we need to move someone to an earlier slot.
I have last the ability to edit my first post. Does anyone know what the operator is doing wong? I need to add a new Mini into the roster and cannot edit the dang thing

)I might need a exhaust gasket. Giving Jan a call tomorrow morning.
I have new gaskets made up to replace the copper ones
if you have an old copper one and need the new one drop me an email
/\ sweet
the ones I had made + Stage 8 locking header bolts seemed to have done the trick, though you do need to heat cycle and retorque before putting the e-rings on to lock them down.

stock bolts on these gaskets work perfect
yeah, but mine had been on/off the car like 5-6 times already
might as well get locking bolts if you're going to replace them - side benefit is that they accept an allen wrench which SIGNIFICANTLY aids in installation due to tight clearances in there (especially on the RMW header). $44/shipped direct from stage8.com too...cheaper than OEM I think, even if you don't care about the lockrings.
