New to the Mini Cooper club

Just bought my 1st Mini. A 2007 Cooper S. Love the car. Handles like a dream. On the 3rd day of ownership she broke down. The dealership I bought it from covered me. They put in new timing chain gears and slack adjuster. Then determined it needed a new fuel pump as well. Fuel pump was covered by Mini. This car only has 40,000mi. on the clock. I do like the car its a blast to drive. But I am concerned about reliability. Should I expect more of the same? Or should I be able to enjoy the car now. Is this the nature of the beast? Would like to hear from some seasoned mini owners.
