Monterey/MTTS Photographers?

I've gathered that a few of us photo forumers will be at Monterey this weekend. So who's doing MTTS and what legs?
(My current sig should tell you what legs I'll be participating in.)

So where at Laguna Seca on Saturday should we hook up? Time?

Yeah, all I know is I want some pics. Especially some of the M7 stuff. Wish I could be there but the rents decided that I couldn't miss the first week of school. I think they have their priorities in disarray.

L00ks like y'all will have fun!

Hey Juan,
We'll just be doing the historic races on Sat & Sun, skipping the MTTS tour. Our month in China drained our vacation time from work and MTTS is out of the question.

Mark and Jim have both directed me to turn 5 to take photos, so I'll probably be there for a bit. Jim has the coveted press pass and I think Mark does too, so us little people can't hang with them when they're doing photos. Itsdchz is joining us on the Saturday south bay classic mini convoy, so I'll finally get to meet him. Is Dave B. coming up with you from SoCal? Others?

So far, I haven't read any posts from Dave as to whether he's going or not.

I'm heading up on Friday so I can get up early for the Laguna Seca line-up on Saturday.

I'll be at Laguna Friday morning. Going to shoot the stuff the magazine needs on Friday so I can play on Saturday and Sunday.

I'm too poor to pay for play. But I plan to take on-the-road pictures of MTTS in Arizona.

Hey Lee, be sure to find us on Saturday. We'll be in the wife's CR/W MCS with the huge roof box on the top. You can't miss it. It has been too long. Ahhh, the good old Gruppe days

Assuming you read this before tomorrow while it's still useful... . Other places you might want to try are the Corkscrew on the inside and turn 2 on the outside. I was shooting from inside the fence at turn 2 this morning and noticed that I'd only be about five feet farther back if I didn't have access and it would hardly have made a bit of difference. Turn 2 is a morning shot, so is turn 5 (mid-morning to noon or so for that), and the Corkscrew is an afternoon shot.

Jim told me he saw you guys today but I haven't seen anyone yet. :(

Yes, I saw Jim and Dave (Speednut). I was wondering who you were, kept looking around at every Nikon guy.
Hopefully we can hook up tomorrow. I'm a shave-headed Chicano with glasses, lugging a familiar black camera body.

Earlier today I was i the back seat of a Purple Haze convertible snapping some frames on the track (including the toss and turns of the corkscrew).

I was shotgun in a Miata for a track session at Lauguna. Watch for the oak tree!

Dallas to Memphis - pictures?

I just wanted to say that the MINI Motoring team from Headquarters are the nicest people ever!

Does anyone have any good Dallas - Memphis pictures they can share? Especially on Bealle street? I was too busy enjoying the music and food that I forgot to take pictures!!!!

Thanks!
PJ and Dory

Fiery Chili

Look who was burning up the pavement before taking me on a pretty wicked road! (the road sign should be big clue )

And if in case you're wondering, he finally let me catch up with him. You might even see him grinning here.

Let me guess!

With all the SUVs clogging the route, I was afraid you would drive up my tailpipe.
Couldn't you photochop out the huge dent done by my wife?
FYI: that is Glassford Hill behind me (seen in my b&w entry from the other side) and Granite Dells to the right.

Jerome to Prescott, what a kick-a$$ drive! I can still smell the cooking brakes from the SUVs riding their brakes the whole way down the canyons ("whada mean downshift, this them thar truck's gotta auto tranny" ).

Nice to finally see "Swifty" living up to her namesake instead of the static photos.

P.S. Juan, great job getting "89A", "Prescott", "Jerome", and "Swifty" all in a single well composed photo.
