May photo contest theme "Illusion" runner up...


Setup two bare strobes on stands at ~8ft high at camera left and right. Drove through the scene (at the speed limit of course) and had my Niece trip the shutter once the car was fully in the frame. A second photo was captured shortly afterwards without the car to use as a blend background layer to further create the illusion of a ghost car.

Imagine it's 1930, you are driving a Model T, and meet someone on this 9 feet wide highway, at night because it's cooler.

Or driving a Countryman like it's a rally stage.

 

That would be epic for a rally MINI

Not good. What happened?

 

Long story short, has everyone checked their oil level lately? Learn a lesson from dumb$h!t me who made several bad assumptions and loves to take cloverleaf onramps really fast! My POS hard to read R53 dipstick is not an excuse... I came from rotary powered cars; I should have known better!


So off to making sweet lemonade from my lemons...
