Star filter or just your aperture blades?

Another MINI photo making it's way into my 366

 

No filter. Just the blades.

 

Cool, that's a pretty intense star burst effect

 

Thanks. That was the 135 f/2L lens, at f/32 for 30 seconds.

 

Ok well now you're just making me jealous.

 

It took me years to finally get that lens. I ended up getting a deal on it from a local photographer that wasn't using it much anymore. It has become my most used lens.

 

Finally able to get my Speedlite off camera, went out to the garage and had to try it out.

 

Nice. Very nice.

 

off camera fo' life it will open up a whole new world of possibilities (and a deeper hole in your wallet as you get addicted to various modifiers and more and more flashes and strobes it never ends).

There is a dictionary somewhere that this photo is under the definition of fun.

 

That photo was taken last year at a huge rally and cruise for the uk charity help for heroes which supports our wounded service men and women and their families.
It was held at Royal Wooton Bassett where our fallen soldiers were taken through after landing in the uk.
The rally was for MINIS/minis and over four hundred minis of all ages turned up for the event. We gathered at a local collage, then cruised through wooton bassett before going to Castle Coombe race track and having the opportunity to do a lap of the circuit together.
It was a fantastic day with mini/MINI owners doing what we love to do best check out others motors etc but also supporting a fantastic charity.
The cruise is on this year too and looks to be even bigger than last year, they are hoping to get 1000 minis/MINIS there will post pics when we have been.

 

Here's a random shot of my wife's Clubman after a blizzard we had a couple of years ago. A marketing agency for Mini wanted to use parts of the shot for a winter poster campaign but gave me a song and dance about not being able to pay anywhere near what they should pay so I passed, I'm sure they stole it anyways

dont have my mini yet but took a photo of the keychain my wife bought for him. I named him Salazar after the founder of slytherin house. So she bought me this keychain while in florida.
