Dreamscape... On a hot summer day I stopped for a ice cold Pepsi before continuing my drive through the mountains of North Carolina.

That7guy,
what did you use to get the color back into the B&W photo?
I have done it on PS CS3, but it is way to cost prohibitive to buy, and I am looking for other software that can help!
Thanks

FWIW,
The Gimp can do this in the same way it's done in PS. Price is free as in freedom.

Motor on that looks 89 between Kanab and Page, there are a few curves, but not many.
People can't park... but then Costco was busy.

Further north, Utah, US RT-6 between Price and Grand Junction,CO. And that's a cart not a car, trendyness gets them above and beyond the rules

This is my first attempt with Gimp. I haven't figured out the white balance yet.
I'm pretty sure my daughter is telling me she isn't coming out until she gets her own Cooper!

No flashwork and the subject not as nice to look at as say the last two pictures, but I am kind of happy with these shots.
camera info:
d70 with Sigma 120-300 @ 300mm f 16 1/320 sec ISO 500, shutter priority
The ISO should have been lower but I was trying to find a good setting at 300 mm (equiv to 450 on a full frame). 200 was not working for me (yes I
looked).
Then there is this one taken an hour and a half later
same camera and lens
@300mm f13, 1/250 iso 250. All other settings the same as above.
