Thanks guys! It didn't make my critique thread because as soon as I started editing I caught that I cut off the top of the gas cap, so guess I'll have to re-setup the shot after next weeks wash.
Very nice Mark!
Love the photo of JPM and his kids. Shall I safely assume you were using a very long lens for the frontal car view action on the track?
And for my recent photo contribution...
Here's what happens when the sky is filled with smoke: My Flickr page

Thanks! Yeah, the first shot (Busch) was with the 300 with the 1.4 tc and the second (Stewart) with the 80-200. It's an interesting spot. The fence is at quite an angle so you have to lean out and the cars essentially pass underneath. The turbulence bounces you around quite a bit. It's a nice shot but I don't like spending lots of time there. Here's what it looks like with the 10.5 mm:
Nice smoke shot you've got there! Enjoying the 200-400?

That's what I thought, thanks for the ultra wide angle photo to really show what your location looked like. Can't say I'd want to shoot from there; looks pretty scary, especially if there is one of the typical NASCRUD crashes.
