Solid Gold McD's - The Exotics
 

The solid gold McD's on 76th has a cruise-in every Wednesday during the summer. Typically, it is only for cars older than 1984, but August 29th is 'Exotics' and is for all years.

Personally, I think we qualify as much as Porches do, so we should plan to meet there and hang out.

What time does it start? I'll be up in WI that day for biz, maybe I can join you. Would be cool to get a dozen or more.

5:30 I believe. Runs until about 9.

Would be cool if we could meet somewhere near by, make a right hand turn out of that meeting spot, then drive in together. :) Could someone have a place we could all meet at 6pm and motor over to the event.

There is a mall parking lot close by, which we could meet in and then drive the two blocks over. I think the store at that end of the mall is a World Market or Linen's and Things....

Depending on how I feel (am dealing with a cold right now), I may be up to meeting up with you guys. I don't live particularly far away. There is also a rather large strip mall behind the McDonald's in question (74th and Edgerton). That could potentially be another meeting place as well.

I've never been to one of these Cruise Nights. Any idea if there is an RSVP that needs to be done. It looks like their parking lot is big, but not that big...

I can only guess this event was called off due to rain. I was driving thru the area and the rain was more then I was willing to deal with. Did anyone go?

I didn't end up going mainly due to the rain and the fact that I wasn't sure if anyone else was going. Oh well....

it was raining, plus I ended up driving to Gurnee to pick up some new wheels, so we couldn't make it.

This was a really, really busy week. Glad it is over.
