Don't get all in a froth about the miraculous landing of the doomed airplane. If you pay close attention to the angle of attack as he comes down to the runway, the size of the three blade prop and use some imagination as to the power of the engine, and what is written on the side of the fuselage, the guy does that as a matter of routine at airshows. His power to weight ratio changes dramatically when the wing comes off and he then flies the ship more like a helicopter than an airplane. Hard left aileron just above the ground and there you have it. A smooth landing and walk away from it. What boggles me is what was he thinking the first time he tried it out to see if it worked the way he planned.

No favorite video thread would be complete without the greatest movie of all time. I mean this is cinematic art at its finest. I saw it 5 times in the theater & bought the DVD the day it was released. Ladies & gentlemen, I give you the awesomeness that's the Butabbi brothers.
