Is there an application form available? I checked their site and didn't see any.

Me neither - I just emailed them to let them know I was coming. Not sure why you'd need to register in the first place (unless it has something to do with getting a room at the hotel).

Tony Burgess used to want us to register for this to see how many cars were gonna be in however many classes, so they could use the venue space correctly. Or, maybe it had something to do with getting money for awards, I'm not sure. They also used to offer a t-shirt, too. Perhaps Tony's not involved in this anymore.

I believe if you pre-register your cost is somewhat less. At least that has been the case in the past. It is OK just to show up on the day of the show. I'll make a call & see what I can find out.

Interestingly, their site has absolutely no mention of fees or costs... They replied to my mail with a request to send me a registration form.

So you have to pay to show up and park your car? I'm confused

If you want to park in their car show you absolutely do. Think of it this way guys. Your entry fee goes to charity.

I just called my friend in the local British car council. He's out of town until Sunday buying more Brit car parts. I should know more then.

OK, the fee to park is $10, but like Chuck said the proceeds go to charity. Here's what he said exactly:

+++++++++

The $10 registration fee covers the cost goodie bags, dash plaque, entertainment, awards and more. We also make a donation to Columbus area charities. There will be food vendors and parts and regalia vendors, etc.

Voting is by class (36 classes) and if you don't want to compete, you can simply cross out your car number on the windscreen card.

I'll send a form for you.

Also, we'll be starting our British Car Cruise-Ins at Quaker Steak & Lube next month (free) and I'll be geeting the e-mail out on that soon. I have about 350 names on that list and it is a casual get together.

Thanks for the clarification Matt. My buddy Rex Karrs is still out of town on his Brit car parts buying frenzy.

I'm leaving town on the 20th to head to Gingerman. I'll come over & show my car in its packed for the track day mode.

Since Sean is leaving town, maybe we can get Dan to wax all the MINI's that show up. Sean told me he's been trained.

Yep this Sunday the 20th.

Dan, you need to go. It's the local Brit car show after all. Even some of the LAME members will be there. Lots of MINI's & Mini's along with other wonderful Brit cars. Not to be missed really. I plan to be there, but do have to blast off early for Gingerman.

Here are some shots from last year to wet your appetite.

I don't have the info for pre-registration. You can just show up & register at the gate. Most likely it will cost just a bit more to do it at the gate. See Matt's post #11 for more info.

Well, Chuck, you may see me there afterall, as our plans for Sunday have changed. I'll be at a small BCD in Dayton on Saturday, but Sunday looks bright now, too. This will give you a chance to see the Cooper.

Hope you can make it over Jeff. I'd like to see that rare colored Cooper.

It will be at the Dayton BCD tomorrow, and I plan to bring it to Dublin Sunday. I'll check out your Welsh Dragon Shift ****; you can check out my enameled Wales grille badge.

Pictures from the Dublin BCD =)

Here are the pictures that I shot at the Dublin British Car Day on 5-20-07. Sorry they aren't arranged better, but I got lazy & just threw the album together. I am a member of LAME after all.

Hope you enjoy them!

Chuck -

Thanks for the post! I was wondering if you're gonna post any shots from the Riverrun.
