::OutMotoring :: Next MINI Mornings + British Car Night

If anyone wants to think of a few contests for the next few events, organize them, make them happen and be a good host, I will gladly offer prizes...

....I send thousands of dollars worth of giveaways to other clubs and for MINI events around the world and our little club here seems neglected...similar to the "shoemakers kids"....

I don't want the MOMC folks to be neglected. Plus I would always win for dirtiest car! I guess I would also win "most accessories"....

I was thinking about this after a team meeting we had this morning. We had a new guy start today and he had to introduce himself and tell us an interesting fact about himself. Then each of us did the same thing for him. So, I was thinking that since there have been several new people joining us recently we could have some type of contest to help us all get to know each other better. Here is what I'm thinking:

- Before the next breakfast every one sends me a PM with an interesting fact about themselves
- I’ll make a list of all the facts
- At the next breakfast, we’ll hand out the list and the person who comes up with the most correct answers wins.
- I know that not everyone who comes to the breakfast frequents this message board, so maybe we leave some blank space on the sheet for people to add other facts and names?

I normally hate these types of icebreaker activities at work, but there aren’t normally prizes involved (obviously I would sit out on this since I would have all the answers).

Do you mean a correct answer is correlating a miscellaneous fact from one list with a person I think it applies to from a another list?

For example:
List 1 Fact: I really like R56s because they are so well proportioned
List 2 Person: B.A.D

A new group at work did soemthing similar. You gave your name but you gave out 2 truths about yourself and one not truth. Then everyone guessed the facts vs. the lie.

I guess I should have been clearer on the fact that this contest would force interaction with all members present at the breakfast as they ask questions to find out who matches up to what fact.

I've realized that there are months where I have every intention of talking to everybody and introducing myself to the new people, but it doesn't always happen.

That sounds like fun. I too always intend on talking to others then get ropped into some LAME Silverback story telling about the good old days.

Maybe we could have a Silverbacks vs. Weedhoppers chalenge and the winning team gets the prizes.
