Alrighty folks!!! The wheels are turning, spring has sprung - time to get out and have some fun

Mark your calendars - Saturday, April 26th, 10:00 am - starting point will be Sterling MINI.

From there we will take some awesome roads to visit Cooter's Place from the Dukes of Hazard! And then a few more twisties before we get some chow.

More details will be forthcoming - we hope to get a huge turnout for this.

Ok, Patricia and I are in, THIS TIME WITH A MINI!!!!   No GMC Jimmy wanna be MINI Cooper!!!!!

Donna/Mike Apr 17, 2003 09:22 AM

Okay - the route is set and we are ready to go everybody!

We will meet at Sterling MINI - 10:00 am. The route will be given out at that time. The drive to Cooters Place will be just under 2 hours. There is a museum we can go thru, a Blue Grass Band will be playing, and a BBQ lunch (each person orders & pays for their own). It should be under $10.

There are a number of options for heading home, including
driving on a part of Skyline drive, using 211 to 29 and 66, or 522 to Front
Royal and I66. We'll leave those options to each driver to decide.

Don't forget your radios - we'd like to use Channel 7 - sub channel 21.

See everybody soon

Hello Donna -

Thanks for planning this.. btw.. are we allowed to pick up the roadkill we find along the way for a special stew at Cooters? Let me know.

Cheers!

Kurt

Heck one of the guys pointed out two wrecked cars that were at the house on the hill overlooking Cooters.....

Bunuel Jul 20, 2003 07:06 PM

Pretty much all the cars at that event are fan replicas and not from the show. The one Cooter keeps there is from the show though. There must have been 100 cars or more there. I'm standing in the middle of them and there were more cars behind me as well as 2 more rows to the left. It was insane. I have a pic of my WRX next to Cooter's car. It's a cool shot. Now I have to get a pic of my MINI next to it.
