Greetings,
Just wondering if anyone other than me is planning on attending this year's Deal's Gap Rally in North Carolina (April 29th - May 2nd, 2004)? I plan on driving down April 28th, leaving in the late afternoon. I was thinking about driving about half way down (or maybe a little more) and then staying overnight somewhere and
continuing the trek the next day. Basically, I am looking for other MINI/Minis to caravaan down with.
My departure times/dates/plans are flexible but I'd like to be there by Thursday afternoon since I belive that the Atlanta Mini Group is throwing a BBQ. I plan to return on Sunday, May 2nd (leaving North Carolina in the AM) and driving straight back in one day. I think it's about a 10 hour drive from here.
I have reservations at the MicroTel in Robinson, NC for Thursday night and departing on Sunday. Paddy secured a group rate for Mini People there. There are a few other places to stay down there that are popular with the Mini Partcipants. The NAM or MINI2 web sites have active discussions on this very topic.
Hope you guys can make it. I need someone else to back me up when people start making fun of the Pittsburgh Steelers and our goofy accents :smile:

Just thought that I would throw this out again to anyone from Eastern Ohio and Western/Central PA. Just thought it would be more interesting to motor down/back with someone so if anyone is interested let me know.

It seems Michael and I are heading down Thursday morning and going in a straight shot. If you want to meet us on the road, you are welcome.
I think we are getting some other DC folks are going to head down with us.
Of Course I have no idea what roads you'd take down as opposed to the roads we'd take.. but you are always welcome...
