Well, we went on the pre-run with John today and all I can say is "WOW!". The roads were fantastic. Really looking forward to running it "for real" on the 26th. If you're even considering going, DO IT. You won't regret it.

Check out some pictures we shot on the pre-run today. Click here!

How far up 125 are you going? Where is Twin Grove? I plan to be there w/ my stepson but will probably peel off at the top of the run and head home.

>>How far up 125 are you going? Where is Twin Grove? I plan to be there w/ my stepson but will probably peel off at the top of the run and head home.

We make it up to Shamokin on 125 before turning around. As far as telling you exactly where Twin Grove is, I'll have to leave that to the run's organizer because I couldn't begin to tell you. I do know that it was prior to us getting on 125. The lunch stop is the last little breather before the roads get really "interesting".

JFleischer Oct 16, 2003 05:32 AM

We will run Rt125 to the end in Shamokin. Twin Grove park is west of Pine Grove on Rt 443 (Twin Grove is a park/KOA Kampground).

Thanks for the feedback. I will, unfortunately, have to break off in Shamokin and head back home. But, the roads from Shamokin to Hazleton offer some consolation.

I assume that we're having a picnic lunch?

Jerseygirl Oct 16, 2003 04:31 PM

>>I assume that we're having a picnic lunch?

Twin Grove has a couple options for lunch. There is an outdoor hot dog/ice cream stand, or there is an indoor restaurant. The choice is yours. Of course you could always bring your own lunch if you choose.

Personally, I'm hoping it's nice enough to eat outside and get some ice cream.

I'm working on a little project for the spring and I need some photos to make it work. I'm looking to get photos of the badges on the back of:

1. Red Cooper
2. Red Cooper S
3. Black Cooper
4. Black Cooper S
5. JCW Badge (I'll take any color I can get, though red and black would be ideal)

Anybody with any of these cars planning on attending the run on Sunday? If so, I'll be looking for you when we meet at Cracker Barrel, before the back ends of all our cars are dusty from the run!

See you all on Sunday!!!

Your posts are still there. They are over in the NY/New England forum. The event is listed in both.

All you need is yourself, your car, a full tank of gas and some money if you plan on attending the dinner after the run ($14.00/person).
