im getting mine for dirt cheap but its gonna need some body work and paint.
I have the painting part covered, but the body work might be an issue... does anybody know of any reputable places that would fix a few cracks for relatively cheap? i've heard good things about Sublime Restoration on Rt. 1 in Rowley.

Welcome Nil! I'm right down the street from you! Do you have a factory added JCW kit? I thought the Factory JCWs were added in 2009?

hey dom didn't know you where on NAM! whats up pete, its not a full "John cooper works" but has most of the factory installed packages, i have the wheels and everything besides the big brakes which I'm looking to buy anyways, in 09 they actually upgraded turbo and motor stuff instead of it just being a tune, intake and exhaust

I'm officially living in Boston now! I've gotten two waves in the past week since I drove up here. Most of the MINIs I've passed haven't waved. If you see me around town be sure to wave! I'm the one with Texas plates and a longhorn and SMU sticker on the boot.

i bought the car with it, but i have alta AP, a Magnaflow catback, and a k&n cold air now so all i have is the r112 wheels, suspension and some carbonfiber stuff left, its a lot nicer than a regular s, but if you were going to be upgrading, just buy the alta accesport, you get more gains from that alone, and i like the way the car feels now with the accesport, very alive, i couldnt see myself spending 2grand or so on the jcw tuning kit unless i got the new 2009 kit with the ko3s turbo, i find the factory JCW exhaust a little raspy too

Is anyone on here familiar with the twisty roads around Blue Hills? I usually roll with miatas and it's a lot of fun to drive those roads. My car is just tired of being the big fat girl in the pack, where are all the Mini enthusiast hiding in the south shore???

So... I love meeting up with MINI owners. I know there's a awesome group of owners that is meeting out at Heritage Farms Ice Cream in Lowell every Wednesday. But it's such a drive for me and some other owners that I know... like 45 to 50 minutes.
I KNOW there is a group of local Boston MINI owners out there... so I started compiling a list. Sorry if it seems stalkerish
If you see anybody else not on the list, let me know. I want to organize a LOCAL meet, that isn't too far for a drive for Boston MINI owners. Locations I'm thinking about:
-IHOP at Brighton
-Dave and Busters at Braintree
-Sonics in Peabody
Or other local Boston locations that anyone else can think of. Once I compiled a good list of owners, I'll shoot out a big message and make a event poster or something. I expect usually a 5-% response rate and 25% appearance rate. Around this time last year, we organized a last minute meet within a couple days and got about 10 owners out to Sonics, which was pretty cool. Let's do this again because I know you Boston owners have been begging for a local meet
There's also 3 other owners not on the list who are my family member and best friends because they aren't in the forums. And they're also local and more then happy to do a meet.

I'm always down for a local meet! I will be making it out to lowell next wednesday, but it would also be cool to have some other meets here and there.
Also - if youre looking to be more specific on that list, im actually from Peabody. Which also means I am in favor of another meet at Sonics

Totally down for more meet-ups. I play poker in Lowell weekly, so I've been able to find ways to get myself to the Wednesday meet-ups, however, I am more than willing to join up with any other social gathering!

I just changed my username last week, its pretty simple, you just have to send the mods a request to change it and as long as its not taken or inappropriate they should change it for you pretty promptly.
