For those who might be interested...

It looks like the cheapest way to ship the seats would be via FedEx Ground (4 day delivery). I'd be shipping the seats from an address in Foothill Ranch, CA (92610) to your address. Here's a break down of the package sizes and their weights just in case you would like to calculate the cost of shipping the seats to your own address:

Driver's Seat Box: 30"x30"x30" @ 40 lbs

Passenger's Seat Box: 30"x30"x30" @ 40 lbs

Back Seat Box: 46"x34"x11" @ 49 lbs

Thanks for your interest in the seats!

Still for sale...

BTW, I realize that a lot of folks are looking for heated seats and so I thought that I'd indulge you with the following link:

http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=46129

I came across this heated seat retrofit kit on Moss MINI's web site the other day and it looks really nice. For $130 a seat, you get a complete seat heater retrofit kit which includes the wiring harness, the control module, the heating elements (for both the seat bottom and the seat back), and the on/off switch. From the photo, the switch looks like it could easily be installed in the same place as the OEM MINI heated seats switch (i.e. right next to the mirror adjustment switch) making for a really nice "factory" look to the installation (and the switch is also a two-step high/low switch just like the OEM MINI version is). You'd still have to partially remove your seat covers in order to install the heating elements, but it would be a lot cheaper than buying all new covers with the integrated elements from MINI plus the MINI retrofit kit (which only contains the wiring harness and the switch). Thus, anyone looking for heated seats in their MINI could buy two of those retrofit kits and convert their existing MINI seats (or the one's I'm trying to sell ) into heated seats quite easily.

Just an FYI...

All,

I've come across another heated seats retrofit kit that looks really good and is cheaper than the Moss MINI one (at only $80 I believe):

http://www.heaterseats.com/products.html

Note: The "Mini Seat Heater Kit" listed on that web page is NOT specifically for the MINI Cooper. It simply refers to the kit having smaller heating elements and so that's why they call it "Mini". Thus, it's probably not the kit you'd want to purchase for the MINI Cooper (as I believe that it is for motorcycle seats, etc.). You'd want one of the regular sized kits instead.

The switch included with the kit (http://www.heaterseats.com/images/switch2.gif) appears to be just like the one in the Moss MINI kit and so it should also be able to be installed next to the mirror adjustment switch on your MINI for a "factory" look.

Just an FYI...

BTW, there's more discussion about this stuff going on here:

Alas, I'm afraid that the OEM MINI seat heaters cannot be swapped from seat to seat as the heating elements themselves are stiched into the seat covers on the MINI seats.

Thanks for your interest though...

Shipping for both of the front seats to your ZIP code would be right around $160 ($80 per seat) using FedEx ground (four day delivery). Note that I might be able to make it a little less by using my wife's work's FedEx acount.

I'd be willing to sell you both of the front seats for $700 ($350 per seat). Thus, the grand total would be $860 shipped for just the two front seats.

Just let me know...

1375 views of this thread and you still have these great seats? Amazing. Do you think it might be easier to figure out a way to heat these seats and sell the 2 leather ones you got instead? Good luck. I still am looking forward to getting my MINI with its black & gray seats (thanks to your clarification of MINIUSA's incorrect information on the door panel color).

Have you tried Ebay yet? There is a nice audience here, but a much larger one there.

Also, I notice that your asking price for the set of 3 seats has fluctuated throughout the thread from $850 - $1,000 - $950 (unless I misread something). Have you settled on a price? Unfortunately, I can't say I'm at all interested, but someone who might be may be confused...

Good luck!

Yes, that probably would be easier. However, my wife's really liking her new heated leather seats and so I'm sure that it would be just about impossible to pry them away from her at this point.

Actually, the price I've had them listed at has never gone up. I've only ever lowered it in the entire time I've had them listed for sale on NAM. I just lowered them again today to $850 for the set of three seats. I think that's more than a fair price for them since they're all brand spanking new.

As for eBay... I've not yet listed them there (as I'm not in any real rush to sell them at this point), but I'll probably do that next. I know that I had my stock rims for sale here and they ended up selling for $200 less than I could have gotten for them over on eBay (maybe $140 less after I paid eBay fees and PayPal fees). I'll probably try listing the seats on eBay next week some time. It's a shame that they haven't sold yet as they really are beautiful seats and so it seems a shame to just have them sitting in my garage stored in boxes instead of installed in someone's MINI.

Thanks for your comments....

Sorry, but that's just too low for all three seats I'm afraid.

Thanks for your interest though.
