Husker High Preformance Exhaust is having a group sale on BOTH Borla Exhast Sytem for the MCS. The price is $575.00 plus shipping. They need a minimal of 5 system to get this price. You will not be charged until your system ships out. Last time I talk to them they had 6 in stock but said they could get more. Not sure how many they will sale at this price. Where can I find data on the differences between the borla and sport borla?

Crap...I just placed an order with them for the Race Borla They did give me a break though, $600 + ship. I wonder if its too late to get them to put into the group

 

I am in the group buy for the Borla Race for sure if I don't get it put on the 15th.

I'll try but I think it may be too late. That was a few days ago and they were out so they said they would fax the order directly to Borla for them to drop ship. That means Borla has the ball.

 

Blah, try calling them up anyways...I would love to save some $$$

There really isn't any. It is the same dual tip design 2 1/4" piping. However, it uses two much smaller mufflers than the regular borla. It SHOULD be less restrictive but who knows. There are no sounds clips (it is said to be much louder than reg borla) and no data. No one has dynoed it i believe.

It is possible that the HP gains MIGHT be higher end b/c it is designed as a RACE exhaust and high rpms are what racing is all about. So I don't know that it'll be any better as a street exhaust than the reg borla. It COULD possibly be slightly worse. I wish there was more info on this.

My understanding is Magnaflow is the best sounding, but has the smallest HP gain out of all exhausts for the MCS

I thought it was the best at 13HP
According to Randy tests:
the Borla was at 7-9 HP
the Quicksilver was between 8 - 13 HP
Magnaflow was between 10-15 HP

But we need to know more about the Borla S. There could be as much as 5 or so HP difference. That is a big difference if you think about spending another $200 or more on an intake just to equal the Magnaflow.

 

I think it is the same, just louder and more agressive...I think it is worth it for $575...

 

Thanks, but I'll wait. The prices can only go down over time. And the number of choices of exhaust types can anly go up, one might say, almost to the point the choices might become exhaustive.

Megaflow is the loudest and produces the most HP
Borla "race" is almost a loud as the megaflow but not as much hp as the megaflow but more hp then the regular borla.

The regular borla is one of the quietest system but its louder then stock.

Not according to Davebret, Minimadness...They used race borlas on their Car and Driver challenge Mini....BTW, it's not spelled "Megaflow"
