Where to get & service Minis in Little Rock?

I live in LR, am considering a Mini, and would greatly appreciate help: 1) Memphis seems the closest dealer--how are they? 2) Does anyone in town service them? Other service details, frequency, cost, etc.? 3) Custom ordering positive there, and how long does that take? 4) I commute 100 miles a day, and I'm 6'2--thoughts on both counts? Thank you!

Where is Donnie's located? I have an 06 MCS cabrio and live in Maumelle.

I Googled Donnie's and came up with http://www.donniesforeigncar.com/

I can't talk to you about anything other than #4....I am 6' 3" and I do not have the seat all the way back in mine. I can scoot up a bunch and let someone ride behind my seat for a 30 minute trip before it becomes uncomfortable. YMMV.

Dude, I like them stripes. Where'd ya get them?

When I bought the car the dealer gave me the option of extending the stripes down through the grille for another $40. Have a look in my gallery and you can see how it looks in back!

Me likey! Is your car British Racing Green? Mine's an 06 MCS Cabrio, BRG with white stripes on the 'bonnet'. I have different wheels, but our cars are pretty similar.

No Sir...It is Astro Black - which is actually a really blue/black. Is yours a Sidewalk and if so how did you get different wheels?

PRattenbury 05-27-2008 10:17 AM

I really don't know what a Sidewalk is, honestly. I have seen a picture of my wheels on this site. I guess I should take a picture of my car and make it part of my sig, like you did. I have the paperwork I got with the car that lists what 'packages' it has. I just always thought Minis were cool. I was looking for a small car at a Mazda dealership local to me, and my GF saw the Mini. She thought it was way cool, too, so it came home with us. Thanks to this site, I found all the go-fast goodies for Minis, and they should start showing up soon. Later on, I'm gonna do some cosmetic stuff. And your stripes are just what I want.

Check out the Sidewalk package with a search of the forums - we have a specific thread or check this out

Thanks for thumbs up!!

I learned something Mini today. I had heard the term Sidewalk, but until today did not know what that was. Mine is not a Sidewalk version. It's just an S Cabrio. :)

Donnie's?

So is that the consensus for the MINI dealer alternative in Little Rock: Donnie's? Do they do any performance upgrades? Paint/body/audio?

RVExotics 11-05-2012 11:38 AM

Dean, Parker MINI will be opening in Little Rock sometime in Spring of 2013. It's a long overdue event, IMHO. I don't know exactly where they'll be, but it will be somewhere in West Little Rock.

Here's a resource full of links to everything MINI including independent MINI shops listed by State.

Also, to answer #4, I'm 6' even and find the MINI the most comfortable I've ever driven. Our longest transit to date is 14 hours and I wasn't fatigued from driving one bit. Drove my mother in law's big '08 Buick on a 4 hour drive recently and I thought my back and butt would never recover.

Awesome, thanks for the replies! I'm looking forward to getting some serious work done and I need a trustworthy mechanic to help!

Fly'n Brick 11-06-2012 12:53 PM

...oh yea, and we also expect to see you, top down wx permitting, at MITO next year. Be sure to sign up for 'Galen's Elk Run'.
