A few of us have the Forge pipe. Its a nice addition that was a little tricky for me to install so I had to get help but its can be done with one person:

How come you didn't pull off the wipers and the plastic cowling under them? When doing my downpipe MrGrumpy and I noticed there was more than enough room to get the stock pipe with its bulky resonator out. It's like a 45 minute job assuming you don't have issues with the wipers being stuck.

Due to it being -7 out the day we did the pipe everything was was extremely stiff. The only way we could get the pipe out without plastic parts cracking/breaking was to remove the wipers and cowling. It is not too bad to remove the wipers and cowling probably adds 5-10 extra mins but makes getting the pipe out a whole lot easier.

Gotcha. Love that we don't have weather like that over here.

How feasible would it be for this pipe to be made of carbon fiber? I think that'd look sick with a carbon intake like the Eventuri or Armaspeed.

It certainly could be made out of carbon fiber I am sure but if you want the look might as well have the stock one wrapped. I had mine powder coated and looks really nice.

As far as performance the butt dyno did not notice anything but you can tell the turbo spools a bit earlier since it no longer has the resonator on it.

Just ordered the Forge. I have other Forge products on the car and they have always been of high quality.
