JCW JCW Brembo 4 Pot Caliper Upgrade

JCW Brembo 4 Pot Caliper Upgrade
I have a 2009 MINI Cooper S R56. I recently purchased a gently used set of the FRONT JCW Sport Brembo 4 Pot Brake Calipers. I will be installing them along with new FRONT pads, new FRONT rotors, as well as new stainless steel brake lines for both FRONT and REAR. I will not make any changes to the rear stock MCS brake calipers, rotors or pads, as the pads and rotors were recently replaced. I will be keeping the rear as is.
My question is, is there anything that needs to be done to the ECU to accommodate the larger FRONT caliper upgrade? Some kind of flash/update? I've seen differing thoughts on the forums and wanted to get an official word.
THANKS!

Well you can, I drove with and without it, what it does is dial back the ABS and traction as the new JCW brakes are pretty aggressive over the stock cooper s brakes. Under hard braking conditions, the ABS tends to kick on more and quicker. Factory JCW cars have the flash and anyone whom had the dealer install the full brake kit will flash it. It depends on how they feel to you.
On the Gp2 upgrade kit we recommend it as they are huge compared to the 4 pots. The dealership charge like 1 hour to flash the system, call them and ask before you go if you choose to.

You don't have to reprogram it, but we do recommend it as it will adjust the ABS calibration for the larger brakes. We do it at our shop and offer it at events such as the Dragon.
