Best AS tires

I know there is a forum for the question. My 15 S has the JCW suspension. What do you feel the best AS tires are.

The BFG G force seem good. I had them on a GTI.

When I go to Tire Rack it does not show the Michelin PS for my car.

Thanks!

I have been running the BFG G-force Comp 2 A/S since May of last year...great tire and held up well to a track day event, though not its 'strong suit'. Great in the wet and darn good in snow with AWD

Best AS tires

"Opinions are like *******s, everyone has one". Tirerack has some good reviews of several Ultra-high performance tires. They cover everything from from comfort to handling wet or dry. Check them out. tire rack.com

Doesnt everybody know that already? There’s nothing better than asking owners of a car like what you have when it comes to hands-on analysis that can apply most accurately to your needs. MINIs especially are different than most cars, so I’ll go with what other MINI owners recommend....confusion narrowed!!! This is why I bought Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires in place of the run flats on our CMS All4.....Fantastic Tire!!!!

Exactly why I asked here. I buy from TR and the shop next door installs them I do not care what people like on a Mustang

I’ve run both the Michelin A/S 3 and the Continental DWS06. Both are excellent all-season performance tires, and would recommend.

No, not everybody knows this. Many factors affect opinions, price, ride, handling, wear, puncture vulnerability. Many will justify low price sacrificing long term wear. Some purchasers will buy a certain tire at a certain size knowing that it won't improve handling and will have some serious fitment issues. Personal opinions about tires can be labeled as just personal opinions. There's nothing unique about MINIs. Places like Tirerack can give you a realistic opinion of different tire brands without the bias of retail customers.

You said “opinions are like *******s, everybody has one!” Now you say “there’s nothing unique about MINIs”!

So, most if not all all the data compiled by Tire Rack is based on customer opinions! I still prefer to talk to other MINI owners who have experience running certain tires on their MINIs than rely on a broad brush compilation of wide ranging opinions based on wide ranging car & tire combinations! I’ve been a Tire Rack fan and customer for over 30 years, so I’m not arguing about not using their feedback data, you just missed my point totally! Sorry, I must have ruffled some of your feathers. That was not my intent whatsoever. And MINIs ARE different/unique! I know of no other car with the proportions of the chassis and wheel setup....they are short and wide, so I’d say they indeed warrant unique analyses when it comes to tire selection.

On the more popular tires with lots of
reviews, you can select TR reviews by
manufacturer (i.e.MINI) which can at
least give you a few more relevant reviews
in one place.

I've had great luck with the Hankook Ventus V2's. I'm on my second set. They are much better in every way than the BFG's, Contis, Sumitomos I've had on my car.
