Head up Display (HUD) JCW Graphics

Hi,

For those of you that have a JCW with HUD....

How do you get these lines to show left and right to the rev counter?

Thank you

You have to be in sport mode.
You push the accelerator to the floor, and when you will be near the redline, these lines will appear !!

Thats pretty cool, wonder if we have that in the US models as I have not seen it in action.

Maybe not !!

Have it on my 2017 F54 JCW.

My 2019 JCW HUD will do that. I do not typically drive in a manner where those appear. My husband does though.

Thats good, i drove a JCW Clubman F54 with HUD and it did not even look at those, i was driving in a time race. ;)

My 2017 JCW does it.

@emulajavi ive just had the same journey. The piece i needed to complete was to enable 'sports instruments' in the HUD first

SO - thro the main screen - select Settings / HUD / displayed information. Click thro to this menu and add the check mark beside "sports instruments".
*
Paraphrasing the exact label for the options as im not in front of the car as i type

Once done - as the thread contributors outline: Providing I am in sport mode - and really press the go pedal down - the shift lights show 'optimal graphics fanning out either side of the circular gear indicator.

Correct! The ‘trick’ seems to be to really press down the gas pedal to get very high revs, and the lines will show where you are about to get to the maximum revs.

Thanks!!

Thank you

Thank you for starting this thread! Great question! Mine is a 2016 JCW, and I have totally been under utilizing my HUD!

Thanks a lot for posting those directions! That was extremely helpful!

JCW Hud info

Hi there,

i have a MCSF56, I coded the JcW rev info on the hud.
I do have the lines beside the ring. But, they won’t light up.
I push the car and the ring goes from white to red I even hold the red for a feu seconds but the lines still don’t light up.

My mini is from 2014. How cannot get the lines to work? Or can it only be done on a real JcW?
iff so than it should be a hardware thing, iff not then it must be some coding.
could anyone help me out?

And to make sure, I really pushed the car!

I have a 2015 JCW and the lines was appearing only when I am revving close to red line.
However after I installed the new Digital Cluster and coded it, the line is always there now and it does not light up. Which seems to be the exactly the same issue as what you are facing now.
Hoping some expert coders can help provide some insight.

Thank you

On my 2020 Clubman , with Tach displayed in the HUD, move the shift selector into the S/M gate, go into /M by shifting with the shift selector or paddles and pedal on the floor. As you approach 4000 RPM in comes into view.
NOTE: If you don't manually select a gear while in S/M gate, transmission stays in S/ mode and the display will not appear.

With the micro beamers becoming reasonable in price, I can only recommend mirroring your iPhone with those. The Original HUD I have with one F56 is not worth the price in my opinion. Still, NAVDY is the best solution. The HUDWAY is a copy of that but since 2 years its should be shipped soon - hilarious money trap.
