S vs JCW Suspension

i do not have any JCWs to test drive but have driven a few S. I find them very quick so I guess I won’t have any issues in that dept with a JCW.

However, I do find the S in Sport still a bit floaty or soft. Is there a big difference in feel and suspension from the S to JCW?

Depends on which generation you’re talking about. On the F cars the “Sport Suspension” is only available on the JCW. I think ‘15 or ‘16 was the last year it was offered as an option on the S. The Sport Suspension is approximately 30% stiffer than the standard Suspension and includes bigger sway bars.

If you are comparing a specific MCS you need to run the VIN to see if it has an optional sport suspension. As for the JCW it either has the sport suspension or DDC which is slightly softer than the standard sport suspension on the JCW.

IIRC the option code for sport suspension on the 2015 MCS was 226.

Mine has DDC and it is definitely not floaty or soft. It seems a little softer at lower speeds, but it's pretty stiff otherwise. And that's on standard setting ... sport will rattle your fillings.
