Wow, that’s an inconvenient location. Scratching my head how to get to it without tearing my airbox out..

Just pulled it out, no sticker, no date. Maybe the dealership decided no one would ever know.

It has the same performance as my 05 JCW, just not the pop/burbles. I wonder if upgrading to the latest software would also get you the facelift pops. I definitely have some, but not nearly as many as before.

Are you sure it actually has a JCW tune on it? In other words, it it actually a dealer installed JCW package? Your local Mini dealer will be able to tell you for sure - and if they still have the right equipment they can make sure it has the latest JCW 210hp software on it.

Yes, it performs identically to my last R52 JCW, and it also has the correct engine badging and certificate. I'm sure it has a tune, I just dont know if all dealers installed a sticker on the ECU that no one would ever see.

Sounds like the previous owner had a competent Mini dealer that installed the correct (updated) software. Mine pops for sure, but nowhere near as much as my 05 S (non-JCW) . . and it has only popped since the WMW tune . . so clearly the 210hp tune is responsible for that

I'm sure it has a JCW tune, I just dont know which. I assume its the later one since it has blue injectors but I guess there's only one way to know for sure. Off to the dealership..

It's noticeably quieter than my last JCW, even the overall volume. Might be due to hard top vs soft top. The pops are far and few between, but they are there. A remote tune may be in order.
