03' JCW SC pulley removal

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone here has an adaptor to aid in removal of the O.E supercharger pulley on our 03' JCW? I don't want to cut the poor thing off and would rather rent or perhaps purchase one. Thanks for any assistance.

Have you checked with your local MINI club? Sometimes they have access to the puller.

Also keep an eye on the Marketplace here. There was a puller and belt tool listed a couple of days ago.

The standard puller doesn't really work on the smaller JCW pullies. I think Way Motor Works used to sell a JCW pully tool. Maybe they still have one around for sale or rent.

Yes we make a puller specific to pull the JCW pulley

Hello Way I sent you a PM.

Reason for the pull, installing a smaller pulley? If yes, when was the last time the crank pulley/harmonic damper was changed? Way has a 2% ATI overdrive pulley that will give you a little more boost while also smoothing out more engine vibes. I am planning to do just this after I do a Dragon run in October. Would assume Way also knows whether the stock JCW belt will work with the 2%.

Yes going with a 16% pulley. I had thought about the 2% option but previous owner just installed an ATI 0% harmonic balancer. If it were me I certainly would have gone down the 2% road. Thanks for keeping me in mind.

Is that page region locked? I am unable to view it, only shows up as a server hangup page.

If you are referring to Way, I believe if you are outside the US you cannot view and they do no ship over the border.

Thanks for the quick reply, that sucks that they don't allow access outside of the US.

No one? And Way is not getting back to me about shipping one to my U.S address.. Kind of irritating. Perhaps Way should invest in a better logistics department. If not communications.

If you use a VPN (virtual private network) you can access his website from outside the US. I use hola vpn, it's free for computers and works well enough. It also lets you listen to pandora and Iheartradio. :)

Being from Canuckistan (or any other non-US country for that matter), and wanting to give him money certainly does make R53Life difficult. He has stuck with his business decision and will continue to do so, regardless if we pay him in USD and ship to US addresses.

Good Luck with your car work, there are numerous other vendors that can help - though Way does have some special parts.
