It may be simple, but I would like to see a picture of it installed. It doesn't look like it takes in too much cool air or is it just less restrictive?

 

Check the install instruction PDF on the aFe website, shows one installed. Looks like it has a seal around the top edge of the box, not sure if that somehow seals to the hood. It also seems to have a cover, so you only pull air through the normal inlet to the airbox.

Normally it is just open with a thick rubber seal, but the cover is an option that can be added.

 

I'm thinking about doing one of these intake kits and adding the lid. I am thinking the dry filter would be a much more sensor friendly option. My other choice is just to use their drop in filter and stock box. what is the general opinion on doing either of these?
