Thumbs up After 4 Months the NEW JCW is Here

Alright, I'm going to make a VERY long story short and explain what happened to me and my MINI experience.

My first Mini was a 2007 S I bought used. Had some cooling issues after about 1.5 years and MINI wanted around $2k to fix. I see a Rebel Green 2016 JCW in the showroom and said if I can trade in my 2007 and pick up the JCW for the right price, I'll get it. Everything worked out and about 7 hours later in the dealership I leave with my brand new (and first) JCW.

For the first 6 months the JCW was amazing. Around 6 months in I start to hear a suspension noise. Long story short, after MINI having my car for 3.5 weeks and swapping out parts 3 times and tightening this and that, I had enough. I called up corporate and they said they'd get me into a new car, and I can build it...

So, excitedly I built my perfect JCW (and they even threw in Nav and HK sound system for free). Otherwise the car was identical to my previous JCW other than color.

I was told I'd receive this new car the End of March the LATEST. More or less it was a huge cluster F and I finally picked up the car yesterday.

So here she is...

At the dealership

Installed JCW Pro Spoiler Extensions as soon as I arrived home

Just finished Cravenspeed mount

Easy, Clean installation

Congrats! I can't believe you got them to roll over so quick and agree to a new car. Must have had some serious flaws for them to give up.

Congrats! I like the colors of your new JCW better! Way to go having a 6MT as well! Were the extensions easy to install?

Yes they came with double sided tape. The hard part is just eye balling them.

Obviously I love the color combo. But I find the spoiler extensions underwhelming at best. I hope they don't cost much, what are they, like $50-100?

They are all here:

They used to be about $50 for the pair when they first came out, then we sold a bunch of them and then MINI raised the price and now they are ~$100 for the pair.

I really like those JCW seats, which I understand are a no cost option. Are they Alcantara like my Recaros? Because my seats were expensive ($2700) and those look pretty similar.

They were a $2500 option. And yes they're alcantara.

Yes, those seats are awesome, just tracked a JCW F54 with them and I was held in the seat.

Those are the standard JCW seats with the leather/alcantara option, pretty sure that's $2000 not $2500. I am very happy with my standard cloth JCW seats which cost $0.
