It was like pulling teeth trying to get the 1M back in the day and once the word got out that the HP was understated the dealers started jacking up way beyond MSRP. Most 1M's are selling for over MSRP today, the 06 GP is not.

Something like 740 1Ms vs 415 for the GP relative to sales.

they are about the same as the GP in comparison, only thing that does not bolt right onto the 135i is the rear fenders, they technically do swap on but it's not as easy as turning a wrench.

as to why it went up in value, I have no idea it's not special

maybe people value that hydro steering rack, they sure feel better than the electric steering in the 2's

It will take some kind of addict, with a wallet and no desire to buy a new and re-sellable car. It is not like these have appreciated to a level that commands these dollars.
I buy cars like this for under $4K (dealer auctions) and I only get a few $K over that at most (after I bring them up to a decent level). I have customers all the time, buying Minis and used car buyers most often want more and want to give you less. Private sellers usually have a reason to sell a car and that is your only real advantage.
With the low miles, it is better than average, but still not that much better, as most addicts would tear them apart to make them special for them, therefore the low miles is not the charm for them.
seems there are more than a few of us, this GP is new and just sold for original sticker

Different strokes for different folks. I had an S2000 that was immaculate with very low miles. Same thing with a Porsche 928. I basically looked at them. Not anymore, I keep my cars in nice shape but I drive them. I am not going to buy an 11 year old car with 71 miles (the above GP) so I can look at it. Nor am I going to pay original sticker for an 11 year car with 71 miles on it and then drive it.

but lots of people will pay more for an older car I know I did for my jcw, I got my S reasonably cheap though.

the r56 suck I've owned 2 of them, the fxx are all ugly imo
