Very clean! Looks like it's been well cared for.

May I ask what inserts/decals those are in the bottom of the rear aero bumper? The stock decals on my aero bumper are needing to be replaced. I've tried to peel them off but they are incredibly tough to get off!

Removing old OEM stickers is crappy job. You have to heat them up a bit (hairdryer) and just peel them off. They WILL leave lotsa goo, for sure. That, you clean with "goo off"...

Once it's all clean, you can do what ever you like...
I went first with black vinyl, cut out to the shape of OEM stickers (see photo above).

Than, with this:

These were cheaper than M7 (even with shipping from UK) and I knew about this product from long time ago when I bought the same set in chrome finish for my old R50 (and rear Aero bumper I want ed to install...). This time I went for black finish.

So, I installed these over black vinyl. 2 small holes on each side, that's it!

Tata, thanks so much for the explanation and great pics! I used my heat gun last night and was able to get the old decals and glue completely off.

Paint is perfect under the stickers and I actually like the really clean look with just the paint color. I think I may leave it like that!

Man there's something about those R53 cars I like. I never even drove one. Sure looks sweet. The whole checkerboard era was cool. I remember seeing my first bunch of Minis in Scottsdale at the dealership. Bought a freaking R56 the next day. Wish I had more toggle switches. Very nice photos!

Thanks!

Yes, there is "something" about R53... Many say!
I was not in a position to drive R53 first time around, let alone JCW. But, second chance came along and after doing the "full circle" with Justa R50, Clubmen and Paceman, I am back in the seat of one sweet ride. The fact that THIS particular JCW is the car from "time machine" (condition, package, KMs,...) helped a lot.

Don't get me wrong: there is no Mini or MINI that I don't like. Some more than others. But this one is REALLY what I wanted from the start...

I ordered a 2016 Cooper S and my wife won't let me keep both cars :(

Hoping to keep Scooter in the MINI club though with an enthusiast so they can appreciate what a great car he is!! Have 3 interested parties right now so we will see what happens... Definitely sad to see him go :(

CHARLOTTE is NOT FOR SALE...

Why would I sell her?

1) first generation MINI (the got it right the first time),
2) supercharged,
3) JCW,
4) mint (just broke 28K kms on MINI INVASION 2015),
5) red (fastest colour),
6) did I say mint?...
