Nice combo. I actually went to Mini Tempe in 2014 to put a deposit down on one just like this coming to SoCal, but it got hijacked out from under me.

 

Thanks man, I got lucky with mine. It was a CPO with almost no miles on it that was part of the Mini press fleet.

I just showed up one day at the Mini dealer (after leaving the VW dealer with a bad taste in my mouth, and being told the BMW I wanted would take 6 months to arrive), and this was literally the first car I saw on the forecourt, and I knew I would buy it.

 

I did almost the same thing on mine. My wife and I decided to stop by Scottsdale Mini to look at a Coupe. There sat the JCW Coupe I eventually bought. Test drove it. She said "BUY IT". But I didn't have my Mini trade. So I waited and checked out the F56, almost bought your car, and went straight over and bought this. It had been on the lot for 9 months. I guess at $41k not too many buyers lol.

Been a while since I've posted, and since then I've blacked out all the chrome.

I know this is just my opinion (and yours, too I assume) but the car just looks so much better without the chrome trim. I really can't figure out what MINI is trying to do with the chrome. Nice looking car

Nicely done Sidewalker! I've been tempted to wrap red on the lower openings on my black JCW, but I'm sticking with stock for awhile....maybe someday. Your Lapis MINI is gorgeous!

 

Your compliment is much appreciated! IMO the red in the lower openings adds just the right touch, without overdoing the red accents.

Did that Black Gas Cap come standard or is it aftermarket?

 

That gas cap is aftermarket. As are the headlight, tail light, grill trim rings, and belt line.

Is there a "one stop" place for all those adjustments? I'm bouncing between White Silver/Red Top and the all Black. The Black sure looks nice with all those additions. I'm surprised Mini doesn't offer an "all black" trim package.

 

I got the headlight/tail light trim rings from the dealer. I had a body shop remove and paint the grill surround. And IIRC I got the belt line trim kit, gas cap, and door handles from OutMotoring. I got my CF mini emblems off eBay.

 

I found all the pieces at one of the vendors that supports this site. Looks lie about $500-600 for everything.

 

Tempting to black out, but my all black JCW is still stock! It's hard to resist but I know I won't stop modifying if I ever start! lol!
