Gear shift knob adapter R56 to R53

I need help. I have been searching the forums for this adapter for the last week and have not found anything. I've tried almost all off the different forums with no luck. I just bought a JCW carbon fiber and leather gear shift knob for an R56. I have a 2004 R53. I know, dumb purchase . I keep hearing you can't find them any more and I figured an adapter would be no big deal to find. Any body have any ideas where I can find one?

If you think about how it might work mechanically, it seems unlikely that an adapter actually exists. I might be wrong though.

Did you hear that from vendors? See if you can order from this site: http://parts.miniofsouthatlanta.com/...category=17391

Doug Whalen came through and is supplying me with an adapter! Custom made and very reasonably priced. Thanks Doug!

Just in case the adapter thing doesn't work out, Sewell MINI (one of the vendors on the site) has both the leather/carbon and alcantara/carbon knobs for R53's for around $100 shipped (using your NAM discount). I just priced an alcantara today actually, but found a local craigslist deal on a Whalen so I am giving that a shot first.
