Witch rims are you using , they are sick!!! have you install brembos big brake kit?
The car look great , I install the Alta inter cooler and you have to play with it a little bit to find the right spot , did you also put the side boost tube?
It is a great thing.

It is Konig Feather. it is a factory JCW, so I have JCW BBK. We are working on a floating rotor for it... Yes I did install the side boost tube.

Took the car home tonite to put some more miles I to it. Making sure all hose , connector are tight. Car is goin back tomorrow to finish the suspension tuning. Car is unstable right now on highway speed. Need alignment and corner balancing.

Now for first impression. It really pulls. Turbo kicks in about 2300-2500 rpm. From 60 mph it pulls to triple digits really quick. I have not lauch it as I have a new clutch that needs break in. At 5500 rpm it still wants to go. At normal driving the exhaust got quieter. But have low rumble burbling. It sounds great. Once it right reach 3500-4000 rpm. The tone changes and exhaust start to bark loudly. A sound that I have lost when the dealer reflash my ecu last year.

I will have video next week when it is all tuned right with Alta's stage 4 mapping.

I am growing my list of goodies to get for my ride, just working my **** off at the moment to get anything finished, yet the funding is done for whatever I decide is required for improved FunFactor!!!

Great follow up sounds like its coming together.

How many miles were on your stock clutch and how does the OS feel compared to the stocker?

Thanks for the write up.

I only had the car for the nite.. and when back to shop for aligment and corner balancing.

Since you ask at the clutch. I have street OS on my Clubman and Race OS on my R53 track car. they both feel different.
Clutch pressure is good. not too heavy and not too light. there is some noise when I took off. (it could be the LSD breaking in). and I have not gotten the right rpm to release. My r53 was easier to drive.. maybe I am use to it.

more to follow.. once I get it back.

Nice of you to post your results! I've been wanting to upgrade to the Alta billet turbo but when I inquired Alta stated it has no ETA.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but how has turbo and car performed? Still have the setup? I installed my Billet R56 a few weeks ago. Got it on a discount... just wondering how reliable this setup is as I track my N18 as well. thanks!

They still have a few but you have to call them. They go for $1,250 shipped.

Haven't been back to this thread in some time but I am still interested in possibly upgrading turbos. More interested now that I'm near the end of the factory warranty.

Anyone else upgrade their turbo?

Now that Alta is no longer selling turbos, check out JMTC (JM turbo cooeprs). They will build you a nice hybrid turbo for a fair price.

I have an Alta modified turbo for sale. Only used it a few thousand miles. It will work on the S but not the JCW with out mapping.
