This is my first time on this forum.

I was wondering if someone can help me out please because no one seems to be able to help out on this issue even Barons BMW can't figure it out

I am trying to change my gearbox oil the car now has done 64k so I thought it's worth changing the oil

Now the problem is now one knows what oil it needs

On the gearbox I have this serial number 2300150429507 but when I type it on realoem.com it says it's invalid.

Does anyone know what oil I need for my gearbox please?

When BMW Barons looked it up there are the following oils and they don't know which one is for my car - MTF 94 or MTF-LT-1, MTF-LT-2 or MTF-LT-3

Any advice would be great!

I asked Redline Oil and this is what they said:

Do I use the MTL oil for my MINI fitted with factory LSD, or another type??

Thank you for contacting Red Line Oil, in your Mini manual transaxle the MTF LT-3 fluid is called for and as a replacement I would recommend the D6ATF. The MTL is a higher viscosity than used in the late model, it was used until July '04, after that a lower viscosity fluid was used. The limited slip is likely either a gear type or viscous and wouldn't require anything special in the gear oil.
