I have the JCW Stage 1 on my '08. See my signature. I recently added the Alta Access Port tune which took it from pretty good to "Holy Crap" mode. I recommenct at least looking in to it. See the thread in the powertrain portion of the mods section.

Also, another mod to consider is adding some Dynamat type material and sound absorbing material in the boot and under the back seat. It takes away a lot fo the "drone" the JCW kit exhaust gives off. This tended to give me a headache and interfered with the stereo output. I used RaamAudio products. They are resonbly priced and have great customer service. No afflilation with them, just a satisfied customer.

LAser Blue was my second choice. I had a Ford Ranger Splash that was I very close color so I wanted a change. Nice looking car.

Love the color combo!

My 08' Cooper "S" is at the dealer as we speak having the JCW Stage 1 installed. I'm also having the following bits from NM Engineering installed as well, as my dealer, MINI of Tempe, is an authorized distributor and installer of their stuff.

Discharge pipe:

Air charge pipe:

I'm very excited to get the car back today, and I'll post first impressions a little later :)

Gregg,

I like the all Pepper White with Black stripes. Looks nice. What level of tint do you have?

Thank you! I have yet to see the same color combo with the sport stripes. I can't remember exactly, something like 25% front and 35% rear and back.

What are your current thoughts on the JCW exhaust now that you have had it on for 2 years now? Did the sound change over time? Do you get any pop and burble now? Did you get used to the drone?

Looking good!

Since i'm already in this thread, I have a couple questions..

1. What is the cost of the JCW Stage 1 kit and compents.
2. I assume someone like RMW has a tune to improve this even more?

Bristle hound- nice looking car. My First mini was laser blue as well...how I miss him... I got a quick questions, where did you purchase the stripes and if you remember how wide are they?. I notice that almost all sport stripes i've seen are to skinnie, but your seem just about right(maybe is the angle of the pictures). Thanks is advance

I am 110% sure Jan at RMW can make any car run better!!!!! I have seen it with my own eyes at MINI's on the dragon, he is amazing at his job.
