JCW Tune without any mods

Hey, I wanted to see what everyone's opinion was of getting a JCW tuned without modifying anything. Would that actually increase power/efficiency over stock or would you spend a lot of money to get marginal gains?

I guess the deciding factor is how good the factory tune is...

Are you refering to the:
A.) factory JCW trim model?
B.) or the JCW "tuning kit" installed on a S-model?

JCW Factory model. I would think it was already tuned as best it could be. I was just curious.

I bet if you looked into the gains that a good tuner can get...like Jan from RMW, I bet you could get 15+ or so...if you have a strong motor, and it is clean, with no intake sludge, like on many gen2 cars...At a recent tune in CT, it was becomming apparent that "Sea-Foaming" gen2 cars every 5000 miles or so makes a huge difference in power due to intake build-up issues.
But with custom tunes, it all depends on the condition of the car, and how good it was from the factory....so you might get a lot, you might get a little.....
