JCW Sport Suspension kit

Hi, this is my first post here. I just got an amazing deal on an 09' JCW mini but the the car does not have the sports suspension option. I absolutely want to beef up the stock suspension on this car and was wondering what everyone's opinions are on what to do? I was thinking about buying the JCW Sport Suspension kit and installing it. thoughts? Thx!

You gonna track the car or just use it as a daily driver?

No track except for maybe just fun with friends. An occasional daily driver, I have a few cars; however I like performance but do not want that "lowered" look.

I have the JCW suspension on my 07. Its nice and handles well, slightly rough but not low enough for my tastes. I would probably skip the JCW's and get an aftermarket CO setup.

I disagree d.p. If the OP wants a firmer ride without too much lowering, it's the right thing. There are cheaper ways to do it but the JCW fills the bill for what it seems the OP desires.

I also have the JCW Suspensionon my 07 MCSa, and agree with dp about the ride quality. For me it is low enough,so i don't concern myself with speed bumps or entering and leaving driveways.Parking stones can always be a probem for a car that is to low.Q

I'll probably go with the JCW setup since I don't want my car too low. Too many steep slopes and ginormous speed humps around my area.

I just installed the JCW suspension on my factory JCW and i have say i am very impressed. It took away most of the squat during acceleration and greatly reduced body roll. Feels very much like my M3 and is absolutley the way the JCW should have come from the factory. There really wasnt much of a trade off in ride quality, both were on the rough side, which is how i like my cars.

Will be breaking it in this weekend at the Tail of the Dragon!

Bingo! I agree 100%... it is awesome! Also, you can buy the complete kit for around $1,000 which includes shocks, springs and both sway bars. I think it is a pretty good deal .... especially if you don't want to go too low.

Wait.. where can you buy the kit for 1000? I am headed to Minis on The Dragon next year and did not order the sport suspension when I ordered my car because I knew I wanted this kit. Please let me know.

Say what? I have seen this statement before I am not sure where this mis-information is coming from.

I bought my complete kit from them for right around $1,000 and it included ALL of the parts. You have to give them your VIN # so they get you the right springs to go with the kit. I believe there is about 4-5 different versions of the springs that match up to the specific weight of your Mini. (sunroof, HD lights, auto ac, etc...)

BTW, the JCW suspension kit rocks!!
