OK if I can find the Eibach 10mm spacers now set, no brake rub or tyre rub.

Shoot, need R56 Goodridge SS lines too.
Wondering if I should send pad back plate to get Carbotech pads at the same time.

There's a set currently for sale in the classifieds, plus an additional 3 of them for sale from another member. Just some food for thought...

I never said it was impossible, just not easy.

I already have my full set, and I recently ordered a couple of spares "just in case" something happens to one of them - I don't want to have to wait for the extra delay to get more!

Greg, just call submit a PUMA case and ask if there will be any issues

I'd be curious as to the answer they gave you? Probably the old "baffle em with ********" answer

......EDIT>>>I thought this was a recent thread, you guys been working on this for a while!

As an option, y'all might consider these:

Many people consider them to be superior to Brembo.

No. I test fitted, or tried to anyhow, some 16" OZ ultras and the caliper was fouling on the rim, not even the rear of spokes...

Ive seen the R53 JCW brakes on with the x-lites but I think that was with a spacer but no chance with the R56 Brembos...

Original JCW BBK on R52 - rotor, pad questions...

Hi all, I have an R52 (2005 MCS convertible) which I upgraded a few years ago with the JCW BBK (the older, non-Brembo brakes). This kit consisted of the red "Works" calipers on the front brakes, and only improved pads on the rears.

I am wondering - more for looks/aesthetics, really...Is it possible to fit the newer JCW slotted and drilled rotors on my car? Would that only work on the fronts, where I have the JCWs?

Is it possible for me to swap out my rear stock '05 calipers with the JCWs that are stock on the R56 cars? I know that they aren't painted, and don't have the logo - (a 10 buck can of heat resistant caliper paint fixes the color issue nicely - I did it on my current calipers and they look fine).

Just out of curiosity - I have a set of R95 wheels in my garage which have yet to go on the car - would the NEW JCW BBK (Brembo ones) fit these wheels?

Finally, where do I get replacement pads for the current BBK on my car - will the pads on the stock R56 JCW's fit? I rarely track the car, do mostly spirited highway and occasional rally driving - any suggestions?

I am sooooooooo with the old JCW BBK and the stock R56 brakes and the new JCW BBK

Not sure how the bigger rear brakes with same size fronts would affect the brake balance - painting your existing would probably be the best option.

I am sooooooooo with the old JCW BBK and the stock R56 brakes and the new JCW BBK Old JCW and stock R56 S brakes are basically the same. Only differences may be the M12 or M14 bolts which doesnt really affect things siginificantly. The new Brembo JCW kit is in a different league IMO.
I have put in a couple of answers for you

Thanks for the reply - but I am a bit confused - if I made the change in the rear brakes, the rear ones would not be bigger than the front, they would be the same...
What I was envisioning was changing my current rear R52/53 calipers with the stock R56 ones - and since I already have my front changed to the R52/53 JCW BBK, all four brakes would be the "old" JCW BBK...
Do you think that would be a problem?
Any suggestions on the brake pads to use? Can I use whatever pads fit the stock R56 calipers?

Sorry dude - my point was to just check that the brake balance isnt disturbed...

Arent stock R56 rear calipers the same as the stock R53 ? The R53 JCW BBK consisted of larger front kit but the rears were the same size - there was only a different pad grade.
