CEL's with modded S vs Stock JCW

So Ive been reading a good bit about people modding there MCS and getting CEL's with a modded S. Im in the process of buying one or the other and I would like to know if there are really a lot of people out there getting CEL's of if if there is no problem people dont say anything good.

The difference between the 2 cars for me is only 3500. For engine mods only, since both cars would get the same upgraded susp, I dont want to always be taking the car to the dealer with CEL's therefore possibly screwing with warranty. Im going to have her for 4 to 5 years. I was only considering on the S; CAI, Boost and intake tubes, full exhaust, and any other small stuff that would boost my HP and torque.

So you modders out there tell me your bad and GOOD of whether you think that trying to get the power out of the S without jacking with the warranty or dependability is better than just bucking up and going JCW.

People having trouble with CEL's generally have 1 part in common.....

Alta UniChip.

Boost tubes have also caused them.

Some intakes have caused CEL's too, but that's fixed easily and the vast majority have never had an intake alone cause a CEL.

If you're smart with your modding, you wont have problems. However, the 09 JCW is a pretty sweet package, and its hard to resist. Can't go wrong with getting one!

So with those few mods will they even make any sort of dent in the difference between the JCW and S? Epsecially since the torque difference is much closer between the two?
