JCW plugs same as R56?

I was told that the spark plugs for the new MINIs is the same as the JCW plugs... anyone know? I was told the boxes have two different part numbers but when you look at the actual plugs they are the same....

maybe you're confusing the brakes. the r53 jcw plugs are those 4-ground ones, a little weird. i don't think r56's use those, but i could be wrong

No, I know about the brakes... I am talking about the JCW specific plugs

If I had to guess without having the plugs side by side(R53 JCWvs.R56 MCS)...I would say they are not the same just by the part numbers...

R53 JCW...NGK#BKR7EQUP...MINI#12 12 0 031 708

R56 MC...BERU#12ZR6SP03...MINI#12 12 0 035 933

R56 MCS...NGK#ILZKBR7A-8G...MINI#12 12 0 035 531

One of my techs was doing plugs on a R56 MC the other day, the plugs needed a thin wall 12-point socket as opposed to the standard 6-point...not sure if the R56 MCS plugs are 12-point.

I was told if you look on the outside of the boxes it is different part numbers. If you look at the actual plugs, same part number....
