JCW What's the safe maximum turbo boost psi in the JCW Stage I engine tuning kit's ECU?

If anyone knows the psi level at which that ECU will shut off fuel to protect the engine, please let us know.

Shutting off fuel= BAD. The ecu has control over boost through the wastegate and the dv, so you should be safe. Why do you ask?

Trying to decide if it's worth getting an auxiliary boost gauge, presumably to be able to monitor normal boost psi (wonder what that is?) and to make sure I don't exceed safe maximum (over)boost at high rpms (which is what I'm trying to find out). Otherwise, what are the benefits of such a gauge (other than that it looks neat!!)?

I have no link to back it up right now (sorry), but I remember hearing that the stock car worked at around 10 psi, with 14psi being the overboost. I don't believe the JCW ECU is altering the boost too much (maybe 1-2 psi). More reprogramming the fuel/air mix & ignition timinig. If I find the link to back that up, I'll update my post.

Alta's GT Turbo has upped the boost a bit and works at around 14-17 psi. There may be some details you're looking for in that thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=121411
