Anyone tried the chrome overlays not the replacements?

I've been considering blinging up my interior with chrome interior pieces..... ie: speedo, shifter,Tach, cup holder and speaker grill rings etc. I was wondering if anyone had opted for the overlay "stick on" route, rather than the replacement? Please let me know your thoughts, where you got them from and pics would be great too I noticed there are a couple of sellers on ebay, but only the ones from England include the Hazard/dimmer covers. Thanks

I have the OEM interior chrome in our CR MC. But I wanted to add some chrome so I bought these from MINI MANIA:

and this:

and these:

They look great. Can't tell the difference between them and the OEM chrome... yet. We'll see how they wear over time.

The stick ons are usually the same material as the replacements. They are nearly indentical, except for the stick-ons sit slightly higher, but not very noticeable unless you are looking for it. I have both, they look the same to me. Getting a full kit from from ebay may be the cheapest route, but if looking for single pieces, check with Classic MINI, sometimes their factory replacements are cheaper than the stickons after your NAM discount.

I have the 23 pc. stick-on set from MiniMania.com.

I think it was only $129.99 when I bought it, and I've seen it on Ebay after that for even less. The kit looks great, the only problems I had with it was that the chrome cup holder ring for the back seat was too small, and the steering wheel pieces were for the standard wheel and I have the sport, three-spoke wheel.

I got a kit from Mymini and have yet to put it on...something like 33 pieces:impatient Can't use all of them, but expect to have everything needed. Was not cheap...something like $275 or so.

I will post pix when done...in the spring...no garage.
