Post your Numbers- SCCA, HPDE, TT, AutoX...

I need to get some numbers for my car for HPDE events and Autox, and I would like to see some cool ideas for displaying them. Maybe some alternatives to the normal gumballs. Thanks!

belosic,

One of my kids is into autox in a big way. Try this for magnetic number/class placards: Pick up sheet magnet stock (one side is coated, usually just white, 8x10 or 14x16) from a bigger craft store and either cut out your numbers/letters or spray paint them on.

You can also cut the sheets into any pattern you like. I was thinking of an 8-ball placard with a flame placard (with the class letters on it) behind it. Oh, what about a skull or baseball? Or a Pacman eating a cone. OK. I'm having too much fun here.

You can also check out Cooper Flags http://www.cooperflags.com/accessories.cfm (NAM vendor), Kewl Auto Art http://www.kewlautoart.com/ (NAM vendor)and Speedy Signs http://www.speedysigns.com/ (found link on NAM). They all make magnetic number placards. I'm sure there are others I have missed.

I know some use blue painter's tape or paper numbers. Doesn't bother me. I say: Get out enjoy killing cones. All the numbers are for is keeping count.
