Painting my Break Calipers
 

So I want to paint my break calipers red, and I was wondering what would be the best way to go about this.

Would any shops do it around Orange County, California? Or should I buy a kit and do it myself? (I have never taken the wheels off my car and I have no idea how I would do it... I am no mechanic at all).

I did a Search and didnt find anything.

First of all my new MINI person - it is "BRAKE" calipers not break.

Secondly - almost every Pep Boys I've ever been in has a BRAKE caliper painting kit in several colors. Take your time, follow the easy directions and you'll soon have BRAKE calipers to admire and show off to others.

You could also take a drive up to Central Coast Coopers in Oxnard - he'll paint them for you for a price and he does a great job. Check the Vendor listings here on NAM for Scott's contact info.

Then you have to be carefull when you change pads..
 

those springy retaining thinggies that hold the calipers under tension have a tendancy to scratch paint when you do a break job!

Get the paint kit from MyMiniParts. But please do not put on the I wanna be Brembo's decals on the calipers OK.....
