What's behind this area?

A little help from those of you who have removed this facia panel...

http://www.michiganmini.org/forum/ga...iles/051_3.jpg

1-how did you remove this panel?
2-what is underneith?

I'm thinking of locating a VR AIT gauge here...
Thanks for your help:)

There are two screws above the speedo and a couple on either side of the downtubes. The airbag panel overlaps that center panel a little so you will have to pull that one up, as does the one behind the tach.
Depending on the depth and size of the gauge you want to use, it may or may not go.

1. One screw on the lower right side, then it just snaps off. NOTE: there are some slots at the top - you need to work them over the tabs or they'll break. :roll:
2. Nuthin' - someone installed their V1 remote there.

The VR gauge face is 2" x 1" and 2" deep...think there's enough room? You know I don't mind surgery :eek2::lol:

Thanks guys...:cool:

Here's some more pics of what you've got to work with!

Click here.

And like others said, it's very easy getting those panels off. Three screws, and a few gentle yet firm tugs. It actually took me longer to take, process, and put the pics online then it did to remove the parts!

Good luck! :grin: :thumbsup:
