How Wide is TOO Wide :) Viper Stripes!
 

Got tired of dealing with graphics shops and decided to do them myself. This is my first attempt at auto graphics so, how did I do? :thumbsup:
Got these from http://www.superbgraphics.net/ . These are their Magnum Stripes, 10" wide on each side with 3" space in the middle. This is very difficult and would recommend it be left to experts. Took me 2 full days to find the middle, mask and install the stripes.

Looks hot! I would suggest doing the grill slats. I did mine and they finish out the look sooooo well. I removed my first set and am now installing my second set. What a pain in the a$$

Looks Great! :thumbsup: But I would go with what K9MINI said. Follow them up with the grill slats.

The Stripes cost $106 delivered with enough to do the car twice. That is if I knew what I was doing. So, yes the extra was used for my trial and error during the install. And it also cost me about $20 in layout material, masking tape, ipa, soap, spray bottles and sweegies. Started by finding the center of the car. Then used 1 1/2" blue masking tape to go down each side of center. This gave me the 3" center spacing I wanted. Then using a mixture of water, soap and ipa, wet the entire stripe and car surface. This let the stripe float into place prior to squeeging out the water allowing the vinyl to stick and purge out the air. While the stripe would float I lined them up by site and feel when the edge of the stripe made contact with the masking tape. Then after getting the stripe completely squeegied, going over it both directions, removed the stripe carrier. Then after confirming the water was out from under the stripe, started to work the edges down tight. Did this by using a hair dryer on high and worked the edges down with my fingers in and around contour of openings and features. Yes this may sound like something you may want to undertake but, it is very difficult and time consuming. Oh and the reason for not continuing down the rear bumper is all the contours of it are very difficult to maintain the straight stripe. So, for me stoping at the bumper was the only choice. May get an expert to give a try at the bumper.

You know, if you have any left, you might want to take the stripes on the bonnet all the way up to the windshield -- IMHO, it really makes it look smooth.

Man that is suweeeeet! I took my factory stripes off until I can decide what I want. Yours are my fav. I wish you were closer to me I'd beg you to help me install 'um when I get 'um but from your screen name I take it you're in Arizona? Or, should I start beggin? :grin:

Fantastic look, man! I'm thinking of pulling my factory bonnet stripes and moving to a viper.

1 problem with going all the way up to the window. Had a lot of trouble getting the stripe under the lower window trim. Need to figure out how to remove the trim and will try installing the stripe there again. Anyone know how to remove the lower trim on the window? I am thinking you have to start at the sides by removing the black panels up the sides then start at 1 end and snap off the trim. At least that was easy on the back window. But need to figure out also how to remove the black trim on both sides.
