has anyone ever considered replacing the hood scoop piece on the cooper S wit a different color to make it stand out.... it might look cool. mayb chromed out or silver or black?? anyone ever seen this... anyone willing to Photoshop it and post the pictures??

 

I saw someone put a black hood scoop on a cooper and called it a SPORT. I thought that it looked really cool, it was when I went on a rally.

 

I have seen a red MCS with a white painted Hood scoop. I have seen for sale, a carbon fiber hood scoop, and I still have plans to buy a second hood scoop and have it chromed.

AC Schnitzer has a new S featured in EVO magazine. They have a black scoop on an indi blue. Here's a pic:

 

that looks pretty cool... do u think that is just painted or do you think it is a new piece? i might consider doin it black on my dark silver / black top cooper s

 

The article says that it's painted. It's part of their 200hp upgrade package that includes the scoop painted in either black or chrome...

 

These guys did it. Not my cup of tea, but they sure know how to tune the MINI.
