How do I remove the rear bumper's lower plastic piece?

I know that this might be the most stupid question asked, but i had trouble removing the lower plastic piece (bar) of the MCS's rear bumper, i remove the two lower screws on each side, but it still wouldn't come off. I might not have applied enough force pulling it? (i was afraid i might ended up breaking something:sad: ) Is it an easy thing to do?

thanks

They require quite a bit of force to get off. Try spraying some kind of lubricant like WD40 and it should be easier..hope that helps

go to a auto paint shop, there is a special tool for removing these trim pieces. its like a universal trim remover. if you dint wanna do that, just use a flathead to pop out the tabs.

it still wouldn't come off, i guess i've to take it to the auto paint shop then.

BTW, anyone knows if i want to fit a MC 2003's plastic bar piece to the MCS rear bumper, do i need to change all 3 plastic pieces? or just the bar?

The MC peices will fit onto a mcs bumper if the MCS bumper is pre 05.

I tried to fit my 05 MC trim peices onto a 04 MCS rear bumper and it did not match up. So if you don't have any peices that are 05 or newer you should be good.

Are you trying to do this with the Bumper still on your car? If you have the bumper off (I don't know if you want to do this) you will be able to see the little inserts that connect the bumper peice with the plastic trim. I tried a tremendous amount of force to remove it to no avail until I sprayed it with some lube which made it easier.
This is from a front bumper but it is the same idea.

you have to use 02 corner pieces and an 03 lower section. and it fits.
